A child plays in seawater covered by a thick layer of green algae at a beach on July 17, 2011 in Qingdao, Shandong Province of China. A large area of green seaweed called enteromorpha prolifera, has approached the Qingdao coast. The algae, is non-poisonous and harmless for water quality but may threaten marine life and coastline tourism.
